BRISTOL, Tenn. – King Basketball is calling upon Tornado Nation to "White Out" the Student Center Complex this Friday, March 2, in their Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinal matchup against the Mount Olive Trojans. Free white Twister t-shirts will be handed out to King fans to help support the White Out effort!

White Twister t-shirts will be passed out at the front doors, while supplies last, beginning at 6:00 p.m. prior to the 7:00 p.m. tipoff. Come early to guarantee your seat and your shirt! Don't just stop with a white t-shirt. Bring your white tube socks, gym shorts, wrist and head bands, or whatever you have that is white and wear it out to the Student Center to support your Tornado men's basketball team.

King advanced to the semi-final round after defeating Coker College on Tuesday night, 56-50, in a tight-knit contest that came down to the final minutes. After holding as much as an 11-point lead, Coker stormed back to tie the game with under two minutes to go. Freshman Logan Lyle knocked down a tide-shifting three pointer before Lio Gedeon recorded a huge block in the lane on the Cobras' ensuing attack, leading to the victory.

Mount Olive (20-7) held a seven-point lead over Lees-McRae going into the locker room of their first round tournament matchup but broke out on both ends of the court to take a 74-48 victory to advance to the semifinals. Craig Hayes led the Trojans with 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting in the playoff win, while two other Mount Olive starters finished in double digits scoring.

The winner of Friday's contest will advance to the Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship on Sunday, where they will play the victor of the Queens (N.C.) / Barton contest. Game time for the championship is set for 2:00 p.m.
