Tornado adds Indianapolis to 2010-11 schedule

BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College has added the University of Indianapolis to the men's basketball schedule as the two will play Monday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in King's Student Center Complex.

King improved to 3-4 with a 110-88 win on Monday at Milligan (Tenn.) College.

Indianapolis has a 3-1 record before the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener Saturday at Northern Kentucky University. Indianapolis knocked off Tennessee in an exhibition game on Nov. 8 with a 79-64 score.

The Tornado started the season against two other Great Lakes Valley Conference foes, Kentucky Wesleyan College and Southern Indiana University. King was overtaken 82-77 in the opener at Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 13 and a day later lost a 78-70 contest at Southern Indiana.

The Great Lakes Valley has three divisions and Indianapolis, Southern Indiana and Kentucky Wesleyan are in the East. Kentucky Wesleyan was picked second in the five-team division with Southern Indiana third and Indianapolis fifth. King has a contest scheduled with Bellarmine (Ky.) University, the GLVC coaches' pick to win the East, later in the season.

Before Indianapolis comes to Bristol, King has an 8 p.m. contest with Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University on Wednesday and a Saturday game with Virginia Intermont College at 7:30 p.m.
