GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College fell one place in the latest NCCAA Men's Basketball Division I Burbridge Rating to No. 9, the national office released.
King, with a Burbridge of 6.857 this week, was down from the 6.917 mark a week earlier that had the team in the No. 8 spot.
Dallas Baptist (Texas) University, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Campbellsville (Ky.) University, Palm Beach Atlantic (Fla.) University and Indiana Wesleyan University all held their respective spots from No. 1 to No. 5. Dallas Baptist's Burbridge was 8.0 after being 8.5 a week ago.
Campbellsville led the Mid-East region with King next. The No. 20 spot was the next team from the region, Tennessee Temple University. Bluefield (Va.) College, Mid-Continent (Ky.) University and Victory (Tenn.) University were all ranked from No. 23 to No. 25, respectively.
The rating is based on wins and losses, opponents' winning percentage, location of game and opponents' national affiliation.
King will open the 2011 portion of the schedule on Jan. 2 at Nova Southeastern (Fla.). The Tornado posted a 6-8 record before the break for Christmas.
