Tornado open cyclocross season at home

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The defending USA Cycling Cyclocross defending national champion King University cycling team opened their season on Saturday with a home race. The Tornado were led by three top three finishes from Kyle Ellis, Quenton Lyons and Fausto Crapiz.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Lyons finished second in the men's category C race and Crapiz finished third in the same race.
  • In the men's category A race, Ellis finished third and Matthew Owen took fifth.
  • Also in the men's category A race, Nolan Tankersley finished 18th.
  • Billy Barnes took fourth in the men's category B race.
  • On the women's side, Jennifer Caicedo took eighth in the category A race.
  • Miranda Goodman finished 10th and Abby Hobbs took 11th in the women's category A race.
