BRISTOL, Tenn. – On Friday morning, many weeks of hard work from King University cycling head coach Dan Kreiss paid off as one of the nation's top junior cyclists signed to ride at King. William Guillen signed his letter of intent to join the Tornado cycling team next season.
"I am excited to come to King and be part of a team, and prove myself," Guillen said. "I will bring experience, hard work, and determination to the Tornado, and want to help the team in any way possible."
Guillen will come to King in the fall from Youngsville, N.C., which is in the Raleigh area. He is the #1 ranked junior in the criterium in all of USA Cycling's category 1 riders. Guillen is also ranked fourth in the country in the overall rankings.
"I am excited to have William come to school here," Kreiss stated. "William is a good kid with a strong work ethic and character that comes from a good family."
