Tornado Send Two to Cyclocross Championships

BANNER ELK, N.C. – King College Cycling sent two of its own to the 2011 SECCC Cyclocross Championship, held in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Casey Stallard and Blake Adams both competed in the event on Sunday (Dec. 11), wrapping up the fall cycling schedule.

Freshman Blake Adams (Pigeon Forge, Tenn.) placed seventh out of eight riders in the Cat 2/3/4 event that began the day. He finished with a score of 590.00 points.

Senior Casey Stallard (Bristol, Tenn.) took part in the Cat 1/2 event and placed 16th out of 19 riders, scoring 458.82 in his ride.

The Cyclocross Championship, hosted by Lees-McRae, concludes the fall season for Tornado Cycling after three races. They took part in the Mars Hill Cyclocross event on Dec. 3 and host the King Cyclocross event to open their season on Nov. 12. The spring cycling schedule will be released later this month.
