Tornado Baseball to Host Showcase for Area Players

Area high school baseball players are encouraged to display their talents at the King Baseball Fall Instructional Showcase, held on Saturday, Nov. 10.

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King Baseball staff will host a Fall Instructional Showcase on November 10, 2012. The pro style showcase will be held on campus at the King College Baseball Field and allow area high school ball players the chance to enhance and showcase their talents to collegiate coaches.

The camp is designed for boys that are currently enrolled in high school that are in their freshman through senior years. The showcase will have participants run a 60-yard dash, address defensive work, and engage in batting practice and bullpen work. Exhibition games will be played if enough players are available.

The showcase will cost each participant $75 for the session for those that register before Wednesday, Nov. 7. A $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot. The camp fee will be $90 if registering after Nov. 7. All participants must fill out the showcase registration form as well as the King College release form.

Lunch will be available for an additional fee. Should weather be inclement, a rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 11. Registration and check-in will begin at 9 a.m., in either case.

Local and regional college coaches are invited to attend the showcase for the opportunity to see those athletes participating in the camp.
