MASON, Ohio – King College's Reiss Stanley pitched his way onto the 2011 NCCAA World Series All-Tournament squad, announced by the national office upon completion of the event.
Stanley, a freshman from Lenoir City, Tenn., started for the first time in the opener against the Master's College (Calif.). All he did was go six innings with one earned run, three total runs, on six hits. Stanley mixed in five strikeouts and a walk after pitching for the first time since Feb. 13.
In all 11 players were on the list and the NCCAA World Series MVP honor went to Oklahoma Wesleyan University's Cody Ford.
King finished tied for second in Pool B with a 2-2 mark at the event.
