BRISTOL, Tenn. – In the final week of the regular season, Emily Powers of the King University acrobatics and tumbling team earned National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Player of the Week Honorable Mention.
Powers helped King to a victory against Georgetown College, posting a program-high with a team event score of 95.76 for the second straight meet. The Tornado also posted their second highest score in program history, 271.035, coming within one point of the score they posted in the last meet. Powers was a member of an acro event score of 29.05, the third highest score in program history.
King will be in action again on April 27 at the NCATA National Championship when they take on top seed University of Oregon at host Azusa Pacific University.
