The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee convened last week and announced the March Student-Athletes of the Month. Elizabeth Swallow of women's golf and Geoffrey Cieslewitz of baseball were named to the monthly honor after incredibly successful performances in their respective sports.
Wrestling in her first event at the senior level, Hildebrandt won a gold medal at the Senior Pan Ams in Panama City, Panama. She defeated the Dominican Republic’s Oviedo Perez 2-1, 5-0 to win the gold. Later in the month, she took fourth at the US Open in Las Vegas. The Granger, Ind., native also secured a spot on the University World Team with a first place finish at University Nationals. She will represent the United States later this year in Russia.
Yoder helped the King cycling team win their first Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference championship. The Tornado also qualified for the Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals as team for the first time in school history. Nationals takes place from May 3-5 in Ogden, Utah.
