Asheville, N.C.– The King University men's volleyball team put together one of its strongest offensive outings of the season on Monday evening, earning a 3–1 win over Warren Wilson inside DeVries Athletic Gymnasium. The Tornado (4–12) controlled the match from start to finish, defeating the Owls (2–10) by scores of 25–20, 25–27, 25–13, 25–17.
King hit an impressive .318 as a team and finished with advantages in kills (54–24), assists (50–18), digs (45–28), and total points (69–33). Three Tornado players reached double-digit kills, and the team's serve pressure produced 10 aces on the night.
Set One: Tornado Strike First
King opened the match with a sharp offensive rhythm, hitting .412 in the opening frame with 17 kills and just three errors. The Tornado controlled the pace early, using steady side-out play and a late push to secure a 25–20 win.
Set Two: Warren Wilson Evens the Match
The Owls responded in the second set, capitalizing on King's miscues to edge out a 27–25 victory. Despite the narrow loss, the Tornado continued to apply pressure from the service line and remained poised heading into the third.
Set Three: King Regains Command
King delivered its most dominant set of the night in the third, hitting a blistering .611 with 12 kills and only one error. The Tornado defense held Warren Wilson to just five kills, cruising to a 25–13 win and reclaiming full control of the match.
Set Four: Closing Strong
The Tornado sealed the match with another efficient offensive performance, hitting .333 in the final frame. King's serve-receive steadied, the block tightened, and the Tornado pulled away for a 25–17 clincher to secure the road victory.
