Bluefield, W.Va. - The Tornado put together a commanding performance on the mat, rolling past Bluefield State with a 45-4 victory on Thursday night.
Bluefield State struck first at 125, as Robert Garcia lost by major decision. King quickly answered back at 133, with
Alex Fernandez III swinging momentum in the Tornado's favor by securing a technical foul at the five-minute mark.
At 141,
Ashtan Hendricks continued the surge, recording a pin at 2:36 to give King control of the dual.
Brennan Watkins followed at 149 with another technical fall, extending the lead before
Joe Bertrand added a pin of his own at 157 to keep the Tornado rolling.
Sayfore Sieh earned a hard-fought decision at 165, before
Clint Morrisette delivered a technical fall at 174 to further separate King on the scoreboard.
Luke Justice kept the pressure on at 184, securing a pin at 4:45.
David Bertrand picked up six points via forfeit at 197, and Nate Coley closed out the night at heavyweight with a decision, sealing the 45-4 victory for King.
