Bristol, Tenn. – The King University Men's and Women's Tennis teams win over Emory and Henry for their home opener of the Spring 2026 season. Both teams were able to win in scores of 6-1.
Women:
The King University Women's Tennis team started their afternoon with a great doubles outing, winning two of the three matches. The duo of
Deniz Aytun and
Trinity Moore won the set 6-3. Shelby Tranchita and Lily Belcher were also able to win in a 6-3 set victory.
Aytun was able to help the Tornado faithful with a great win in the number one match in two sets, 6-2 and 6-0, respectively.
Rani Malhoe was able to take care of business in the number two's match with another clean two-set victory for King, 6-1 and 6-2.
Moore had the closest match for the Tornado of the afternoon, going to a score of 7-5 in the first set. She was able to come back in the second set and take care of it in an easy 6-3 victory to win in two.

Men:
The King University Men's Tennis came into today looking to get their first victory of the Spring semester. They were able to take down Emory and Henry 6-1. The teams of
Danny Neleman/
Lucas Machado,
Bar Meshel/
Ben Jones, and
Rohan Chalisgaonkar/
Maximillian Kellner were all able to get wins. Neleman and Machado were able to clean sweep their games with a 6-0 win.
The singles matches were almost like the doubles, with a clean sweep, with a loss in the number fours match.
The one match went very smoothly for Neleman, where he was able to defeat the Wasps in a 6-2 and 6-1 for the two sets. The threes match went the exact same way, where Machado was able to win in two sets, 6-2 and 6-1.
Meshel for King had the toughest win for them, where he went toe to toe against the two from Emory and Henry. He won the first set in a 6-3 victory and went to extra points with a 7-5 victory for the Tornado.
