Bristol, Tenn. – The King University women's basketball team delivered one of its most complete performances of the season on Wednesday, using a blistering second quarter and a balanced offensive attack to roll past North Greenville 74–53 in front of 143 fans. Behind standout efforts from
Aliyah Hawkins and
Le'Aije Ellington, the Tornado controlled the game on both ends of the floor.
Game Flow
King opened the afternoon with an 18–16 edge after the first quarter, but the Tornado completely took over in the second. A dominant 27–8 frame — fueled by sharp perimeter shooting and relentless defensive pressure — sent King into halftime with a 45–24 advantage.
The Tornado maintained their momentum in the third, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and extending the lead to 61–33. North Greenville found some rhythm in the fourth, scoring 20 points, but the outcome was never in doubt as King's depth and efficiency secured the 21-point victory.
