Franklin Springs, Ga. —The King University Men's Soccer team earned a hard-fought 0–0 draw on the road against Emmanuel College in Conference Carolinas play. Despite controlling much of the match and creating numerous scoring opportunities.
King dictated the pace offensively, outshooting Emmanuel 20–7 and holding a 3–1 advantage in shots on goal. The Tornado also earned seven corner kicks compared to just one for the Lions, consistently applying pressure in the attacking third.
Defensively, King was organized and disciplined. Goalkeeper Gavin Roux (East London, England) faced seven shots and recorded one save to secure the clean sheet. Emmanuel's goalkeeper was tested more frequently, making three saves to keep the Tornado off the scoreboard.
With the result, King adds a point in the Conference Carolinas standings and will look to build momentum heading into their next fixture.
