TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The King University men's volleyball team dropped a road matchup Wednesday night, 3-0 to North Greenville University.
AJ Drooker led the Tornado with seven kills, while
Warren Davis and
Kellan Kennedy both had six kills on the night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- King trailed 8-5 early, with four different players picking up kills.
- The Crusaders then scored six of the next seven points, taking a 14-6 lead.
- The Tornado pulled to within 16-11 after scoring five of seven, but North Greenville was able to extend the lead to 21-14.
- Coming out of a timeout, King got a kill by Drooker and a block by Sean Haberthy and Aiden Olson, along with a service error to pull to within 22-17.
- North Greenville scored four of the final five points, winning the opening set 25-19.
Second Set
- The set was tied at three early, with Drooker and Davis picking up kills.
- The Crusaders then scored four straight, pulling in front 7-3.
- After King kept things close, pulling to within 11-8, North Greenville scored four of the next five points, taking a 15-9 lead.
- The Crusaders extended the lead to 20-12, eventually going to set point, up 24-16.
- King scored the next two points, including a kill by Kellan Kennedy, but the Crusaders took the set, 25-18 to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Third Set
- The Crusaders took an early 6-2 lead, after which King scored five straight points to take a 7-6 lead, forcing North Greenville to call timeout.
- North Greenville then took a 10-9 lead, starting a 5-1 scoring run to pull in front 14-10.
- After King closed the gap and pulled to within 20-17, the Crusaders took five of the final seven points, winning the set 25-19, and taking the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Drooker led the Tornado in kills (7) and aces (2), while Kennedy and Davis both had six kills, with Davis adding 11 digs.
- Aiden Olson handed out 18 assists and had a block.
- Haberthy had a pair of blocks for the Tornado.
FOR THE FOES
- Logan Keothavy led all players, finishing with 12 killa, while Diego Rosich had 10 on the night.
- Logan Taylor led the Crusaders with two blocks, 31 assists and eight digs.
