BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University Softball team dropped both games of their Conference Carolinas doubleheader Wednesday to rival Lees-McRae College.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Haylee Dye was 4-for-7, recording a pair of hits in both games.
- Katie Ryan and Alyssa Suits both picked up RBI in game two, with Ryan also scoring a run for the Tornado.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- The Bobcats struck in the top of the second, hitting a leadoff home run to take a 1-0 lead.
- Lees-McRae added a run in the fifth on a infield single, stretching the lead to 2-0.
- King got a runner to third in the bottom of the sixth, as Dye hit a two-out double, later stealing third on a failed pickoff attempt, but was stranded on third base.
- The Tornado got a leadoff walk in the seventh, but were unable to tie the game, falling 2-0.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Ryan drew a leadoff walk in the first, eventually scoring on an Suits single up the middle, giving King a 1-0 lead.
- Ryan also was part of the second run that King scored, as she hit an RBI double to right-center field, scoring Autumn Campbell, who had earlier drawn a two-out walk.
- The Bobcats tied the game at two in the fifth, before taking a 3-2 lead in the top of the sixth.
- Ryan drew a one-out walk in the seventh, but was stranded, with Lees-McRae inducing a game-ending groundout.
