Box Score 2 HARROGATE, Tenn. – The King University softball team had an eventful day taking on Lincoln Memorial University. The Tornado dropped game one 3-2 in nine innings, and fell behind the Railsplitters 9-0 after two innings of game two. However, the King offense erupted for 11 runs in two innings to take the contest 11-10.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Tinsley Thompson drove in three runs on two hits in game two.
- Lilly Million posted a pair of hits in game two, score twice and drove in two on the day.
- Tori Ryan registered three hits in the nightcap, scoring twice.
- Caitlynn Bishop also scored twice and recorded two hits in game two.
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- The opening contest was a pitcher's duel with only seven combined hits in the contest.
- Megan Dobrev was the game's first baserunner, reaching on a walk in the second inning before Lincoln Memorial's Katie Tuggle singled in the bottom of the inning. However, she was left there by Savana Luper.
- Gracelynn Rice started the third inning for the Tornado with a single and was pinch ran for by Autumn Campbell.
- She later scored on a Thompson single through the left side to give King the 1-0 lead.
- However, Lincoln Memorial evened the score in the bottom of the inning following a stolen base and two-out single evened the tally.
- King escaped a jam, leaving two runners on in the fourth before the Tornado threatened in the sixth.
- Jessica Campbell started the sixth with a single and was sacrificed to second, however, the Railsplitters got the next two outs to end the inning.
- Lincoln Memorial put two runners on in the seventh, but that was it, sending the game to extra innings.
- A Million sacrifice fly scored Bradlie Warner and gave King a 2-1 lead in the eighth, but the Railsplitters answered.
- A two-out passed ball allowed the tying run to score before the Tornado recorded the final out to send the game to the ninth inning.
- King was unable to score in the ninth before the Railsplitters took the game 3-2 on a defensive miscue.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Lincoln Memorial took the lead in the first inning with three ones, two on bases loaded walks and another on a groundout.
- The King deficit grew to 9-0 in the second inning as the Railsplitters scored six runs, three on a Sterre den Duijn double and two more on a Madison Henry double.
- King then came back with four runs in the fourth inning to pull within 9-4.
- The Tornado offense kept rolling in the fifth inning, scoring seven runs to take an 11-9.
- Lincoln Memorial added one in the sixth, but Hannah Fritts got out of the inning and retired the side in the seventh inning to give King the 11-10 win.
