HARROGATE, Tenn. – The King University men's volleyball team fell to Lincoln Memorial University Wednesday night in a nonconference matchup.
Warren Davis had 15 kills to lead all players on the night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- The Railsplitters jumped out to an early 4-1 lead, with kills by Davis and Kellan Kennedy bringing King back to within 4-3.
- After the Tornado took timeout trailing 18-15, King got quick kills from Kennedy and Alex Barkley, making the score 19-17.
- Lincoln Memorial got to set point up 24-19, but King got a pair of errors before the Railsplitters took the set 25-21, taking a 1-0 lead.
Second Set
- After the Tornado took the first two points, the Railsplitters would score 10 of the next 13 points, taking a 10-5 lead into a timeout.
- Coming out of the timeout, the Tornado battled to within 13-10 before LMU scored six of the next seven points, pulling in front 19-11.
- King would rally to 22-17, but the Railsplitters took three of the final four points, taking the set 25-18, and a 2-0 lead in the match.
Third Set
- LMU took an early 9-3 lead before a string of five straight points for King brought them to within 9-8. Among those points was a pair of service aces for Barkley.
- After a kill by Justin Sawyer made the score 10-9, the Railsplitters scored six of the next seven points, taking an 18-11 advantage.
- Lincoln Memorial was able to maintain the lead, eventually winning the set 25-18, taking the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Davis finished with 15 kills, the most of anybody on either team. Kennedy finished at seven kills, with Barkley contributing six.
- Andrew Haber handed out 26 assists.
- Haber and Sean Haberthy both had block assists.
FOR THE FOES
- Johan Negron had nine kills, with Shay Spadaro and Ethan Morgan both finishing with eight.
- Kohl Kutsch had 35 assists and five digs for LMU.
UP NEXT
- King will return to conference action this weekend when they play at Emmanuel University on Friday night.
- The Railsplitters are off until Tuesday when they face Tusculum University.
