King women's wrestling schedule announced

BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University women's wrestling head coach Jason Moorman has announced the 2023-24 schedule for the Tornado. King opens the season on November 5 at the East Stroudsburg Open before going for their third straight National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals title in early January. The season concludes Mardh 8-9 at the National College Women's Wrestling Coalition (NCWWC) National Championships.

King will compete at the East Stroudsburg Open and Eagle Madness in November before traveling to the Mount Olive Duals and Wasps Open in December. The Tornado will also have a presence at a pair of USA Wrestling events, the Bill Ferrell Memorial International in November and the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifier in December.

The second semester starts with the NWCA National Duals in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on January 5-6 as the Tornado go for their third straight title. That is followed by a dual with Presbyterian College on January 13, leading in to the Tornado Open on January 14. King closes the regular season with duals against Lincoln Memorial University and Bluefield State University in February.

The NCWWC Region 2 Championships are slated for February 23 at Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs Ga. NCWWC National Championships return to Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 8-9.
