BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following the final month of the season, Conference Carolinas announced their final Freshmen of the Month Awards.
Bridget Sweeney of the King University acrobatics & tumbling team earned the honor for the first time in her career.
Sweeney Competed in 11 heats for the Tornado, helping King to four heat season-high scores and two event season-high scores over the final month of the season. She helped the Tornado in all for compulsory heats, scoring highs for the month of 9.60 in acro, 9.95 in pyramid, 9.50 in toss and 8.75 tumbling.
In the acro event she helped the Tornado scored 7.95 in heat 2 and 9.40 in heat 3. She helped King score 9.75 in pyramid heat 2 and 9.95 in pyramid heat 2. In the toss event She was a member of groups that scored 9.25 in heat 1 and 8.80 in heat 2. Finally, she helped the tumbling quad pass score 7.550 and the team even score a season-high 94.19.
