DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The eighth seeded King University softball team dropped their first game of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional to top seed, and second-ranked host University of North Georgia. The Nighthawks scored five runs with two outs to take the contest 8-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Campbell started the contest with a single to center field and was sacrificed to second by Haylee Dye.
- However, Campbell was left there as the Nighthawks came up in the bottom of the first inning.
- A two-out single from Sophie Mooney started a North Georgia rally as the Nighthawks posted three straight singles after a walk to take a 3-0 lead.
- North Georgia manufactured a run in the second to take a 4-0 lead before the Tornado put another runner on second in the third.
- However, Bradlie Warner was left there.
- The Nighthawks started the fifth inning with a single and sacrifice bunt before a tripled from Georgia Blair plated a run.
- She scored on a single to give the Nighthawks a 6-0 lead after five innings.
- With the bases loaded in the sixth, Aniston Wright lofted a single to right field, scoring a pair and giving North Georgia the 8-0 victory.

- Wright drove in a pair while Madi Perry, Mooney and Olivia Sinquefield each posted two hits.
