BRISTOL, Tenn. – After dodging rain on Friday, the King University baseball team took on Francis Marion University on Saturday afternoon. The Patriots took game one 14-2 before winning game two 10-6.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- A two-out double from Tanner Wakefield scored Caleb Oakley to give Francis Marion a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
- Renwick and Preston Steele posted back-to-back two-out singles for the Tornado in the bottom of the first, but they were left there.
- The Patriots added a pair of two-out unearned runs in the third to take a 3-0 lead.
- A two-out single from Naphis Llanos in the fifth, extended the Francis Marion lead to 4-0.
- Chase Hilliard drove in Renwick with two outs in the sixth, pulling King within 4-1.
- However, the Patriots added four runs in the seventh and three in each the eighth and ninth innings to take the contest 14-2.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
- Francis Marion took the lead in the first inning on a Wakefield groundout to take a 1-0 lead.
- Hawkins responded with a leadoff single in the bottom of the first inning. He then scored on a Renwick single to even the score.
- The Patriots regained the lead with a walk and back-to-back singles to start the second inning.
- Francis Marion added five more runs in the inning to take a 7-1 lead, including a two-run, two-out double from Tucker Rabun.
- The Patriots extended the lead to 10-1 following three runs in the third before King started to chip away at the deficit.
- Davis Hall drove in Matthew Swigert with a double in the fifth before a Renwick single plated Hawkins.
- Hall scored on a Steele sacrifice fly to pull King within 10-4 after five.
- The Tornado pulled within 10-6 following a Swigert sacrifice fly and fielding errors in the sixth inning.
- Renwick started the seventh inning with a single, but the Patriots retired the next three batters to take the contest 10-6.
