BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's wrestling team not only had a successful year on the mat, but they were also successful in the classroom. The Tornado were in the top 10 of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) on their Scholar Team All-America and had 12 individual honorees.
King was fourth with a team GPA of 3.592. North Central College was atop the list with a 3.798 GPA, followed by Adrian College at 3.672 and Colorado Mesa University at 3.635. Sacred Heart University rounded out the top five with a GPA of 3.587.
King had 11 individuals recognized, which was the third-most behind North Central's 15 and Colorado Mesa's 12.
