SNOW HILL, N.C. – The King University women's golf team finished eighth at the Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship with a three-round total of 978.
Lisa Wahlqvist led the way with a 10th-place finish to earn all-tournament honors.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wahlqvist improved each round after shooting 80 in Sunday's opening round. She shot 79 in round two before closing on Tuesday with a round of 74 to finish with a stroke total of 233.
- Emilia Schildt opened with a round of 77 before shooting 79 and 81 in the final two rounds. She finished 16th with a stroke total of 237.
- Ellie Pittman started with a round of 85 before shooting 79 in the second round and 91 in the final round, giving her a stroke total of 255.
- Arika Wickramasinha finished with a stroke total of 262. She shot 89 in the first round before carding rounds of 86 and 87 in the final two rounds.
- Following an opening round of 95, Joanna Stevens improved over the final two rounds, shooting 89 an 82, giving her a stroke total of 266.
FOR THE FOES
- UNC Pembroke won the tournament with a stroke total of 921 and were led by the top two finishers.
- Amanda Hamrin and Georgia Page both shot 223 as Hamrin edged Page in the playoff to take home individual medalist honors.
