BANNER ELK, N.C. – The King University men's volleyball team picked up another Conference Carolinas win Saturday afternoon, this one a 3-0 road victory over Lees-McRae College.
Suetonius Harris led the Tornado attack, recording 14 kills and five digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- The Bobcats stormed out to an early lead, scoring five of the first six points.
- Things started to turn when Harris picked up a kill, making the score 6-2 and kickstarting a 10-2 King run that gave them a 11-8 lead.
- Lees-McRae were able to get to within 16-13, but the Tornado would score six of the final eight points, including back-to-back kills from Aaron Milstead and JT Deppe that sealed the 25-19 win.
Second Set
- The second set was back-and-forth, with the largest lead being just two points.
- After LMC scored two straight pints to go up 4-3, Harris picked up a kill then assisted a block along with Sean Haberthy to give King the lead, 5-4.
- King was up 13-11 when Lees-McRae scored three straight points to take a 14-13 lead.
- Lees-McRae would eventually take a 20-18 lead, which is where the Tornado started a rally, tyin the match at 23.
- After the Bobcats had multiple set points, King took set point off an attack error, then won the set off a Harris kill to give King a 27-25 win.
Third Set
- The Bobcats took an early 3-2 lead, but a series of King points gave them a lead that they would refuse to relinquish.
- The lead reached 14-6 thanks to a block by Kellan Kennedy and Jack Sarnowski.
- LMC then went on a 6-1 scoring run to make the score 15-12.
- King was able to hold the Bobcats at bay, never allowing Lees-McRae to get to within more than three points.
- King put the finishing touches on the match late, with Justin Sawyer delivering the match-winning kill to give the Tornado a 25-19 set win, and a 3-0 match win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Harris finished the match with 14 kills, while Kim had 11 and Deppe recorded seven.
- Sarnowski had 34 set assists.
- Sean Haberthy had six blocks, five of which were assisted, along with a solo block.
FOR THE FOES
- Michael Marsans had 16 kills for the Bobcats along with six digs and an assisted block.
- Bradley Peters finished with 22 set assists, along with seven kills.
UP NEXT
- King will wrap up their two-match road trip Tuesday when they take on Belmont Abbey at 7 p.m.
- The Bobcats are also on the road Tuesday, facing North Greenville at 7 p.m.
