GREENVILLE, Tenn. – The King University men's volleyball team won their fourth consecutive match Thursday night, sweeping Tusculum 3-0 in nonconference action behind a 15 kill performance from
Suetonius Harris, while
Chance Hoffman had 9 kills.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- The set was tied at five when a Tusculum service error kicked off what would end up being a 3-0 run to take an 8-5 lead.
- They would eventually take a 10-6 lead on a block by Kellan Kennedy and Jack Sarnowski.
- Back-to-back attack errors gave King a 17-11 lead, forcing the Pioneers to call timeout.
- Harris would pick up a kill later in the set to take a 20-13 lead.
- King would score the two final points of the set to take it 25-21.
Second Set
- Neither team was able to build a large advantage early in the set, with King taking a two-point lead on multiple occasions, including a 6-4 lead off a solo block by Sarnowski.
- Jackson Carroll would pick up a kill to put the Tornado up 11-8 before extending the lead to 15-10 on back-to-back kills from Hoffman and Harris.
- The Pioneers would fight their way back and eventually take a 20-18 lead, forcing a Tornado timeout.
- Carroll would deliver a service ace to give King set point, but they were unable to put the set away.
- King would eventually fight off multiple set points for Tusculum, with Hoffman recording a kill to hand the Tornado a 29-27 win.
Third Set
- The Tornado raced out to an early 8-2 lead in the third set, with Harris picking up two kills and an ace.
- Tusculum would fight back, eventually getting to within 13-10.
- Sean Haberthy would pick up a kill, which was followed by an attack error by the Pioneers, giving King a 19-13 lead and forcing Tusculum to call timeout.
- Coming out of the timeout, the Pioneers would score six of the next 10 points to make the score 23-19.
- A Tusculum service error gave King a 24-19 lead before Justin Sawyer delivered a service ace, clinching the set 25-19 and the match 3-0 for the Tornado.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Harris led both teams, finishing the match with 15 kills and five digs, along with a block assist and an attack percentage of .423.
- Chance Hoffman finished with nine kills, three digs and two blocks, while Carroll had seven kills.
FOR THE FOES
- Colby Landry finished with eight kills, along with five digs for the Pioneers while Deklan Wingo and Jake Whyte both had seven kills.
