LOCATION: King Baseball Field; Bristol, Tenn.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Flanagan had three RBI on the day, all of which came on his home run in the eighth.
- Robbie Scott drew three walks, two of which were intentional, while also scoring twice.
- Zachary Thomas went 2-for-4, with both hits being doubles.
- Jakob Brown threw seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits with seven strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a pitcher's duel early, with neither team able to scratch across a run. It took Emmanuel until the third inning to record a hit, which was an RBI double to put them up 1-0.
- In the bottom of the inning, Thomas led off with a double to left field, scoring when Junior Renwick singled into center field to tie the game at 1.
- The Tornado took the lead in the fifth in a big way, as Davis Hall hit a two-RBI single through the right side to put King up 3-1.
- The next batter was Connor Andrews, who singled up the middle to extend the lead to 4-1. King would add another on a wild pitch to take a 5-1 lead into the sixth inning.
- The Lions added a run in the seventh before scoring four times in the top of the eighth before Miguel Rosado wiggled out of the inning with the Emmanuel lead at 6-5.
- The bottom of the eighth proved to be the pivotal inning for King, as the first three batters all reached base sagely, with Scott advancing to first on a fielder's choice before stealing second base.
- That set Flanagan up to take the third pitch of the at bat and hit his first home run of the season, putting King up 8-6.
- Emmanuel was able to score in the ninth to get to within one run, but Nic Blankenship got a strikeout and a pair of flyouts to earn his second save of the season.
FOR THE FOES
- Luke Patty and Yeshua Saint both went 2-for-5 for the Lions, with one RBI each.
- Judd Roberts was 1-for-3, with a pair of RBI.
