CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The King University women's cross country team placed two individuals in the top 50 of a deep field at the Royals Challenge on Friday evening.
Tea Troche-Jones led the way for the Tornado as she was followed by
Ashley Doyle.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Troche-Jones finished 41st with a personal record time of 18:50.3.
- She was the ninth finisher that competes at an NCAA Division II school
- Doyle came in 49th overall and 13th in terms of NCAA Division II athletes with a time of 18:57.9
- Mandy Lowery was the next Tornado to cross the tape with a time of 19:57.4.
- Coming in next was Emily Ward who finished in 20:18.2.
- Destiny Haller crossed the finish line in 21:19.3, setting a season best.
- Finishing next was Morgan Whitley with a time of 21:43.3.
- Katy Neubert rounded out the team with a time of 21:53.5.
FOR THE FOES
- Milligan University won the meet while Anderson University was the top finishing NCAA Division II team, coming in fifth overall.
- Unattached runner Silan Ayyildiz finished first with a time of 16:49.1.
- The top attached runner was Queens University's Letizia Martinelli who came in third overall with a time of 17:13.4.

- King returns to action again on Friday, October 21 at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge at Sequoyah Park in Knoxville, Tenn. The race is scheduled to start at 10:15 a.m.
