BRISTOL, Tenn. – It was a successful home tournament for the Tornado, as the Men's A team won the 2021 King Invitational by seven strokes after shooting a two-day total of 565, while
Samuel Trueba won the individual medalist honors with a 138, winning by just one stroke.

Men's A Team
- Trueba narrowly pulled out individualist medalist honors, thanks in part to a birdie on his final hole of the day, giving him a one-stroke win. Trueba started the tournament with a 68 on Monday before carding his 70 Tuesday. The 68 in round one was tied for his second-lowest round of the season.
- Alex Bradford finished in a tie for seventh, carding a 143, including a 72 first round and a 71 in the second round. It was the ninth top-10 finish of his career.
- Jeffery Perez also finished tied for seventh, carding a 69 in round one to put him just one stroke back of the lead before shooting a 74 on Tuesday.
- Åasmund Norum finished the tournament tied for 12th, with a two-day total of 146, including a 71 in the second round.
- Jose Luis Garcia Jimenez was also tied for 12th, shooting a 70 in the first round and a 79 in the second.
MEN'S B TEAM
- Peyton Perez was tied for second, carding a 139 for the tournament. He kicked things off with a 68, which gave him a tie for the lead heading into round two, where he shot 71 to finish at 139.
- Beam Ratanaprasar finished tied for 27th, carding a 150. He shot 76 in the first round before improving by two strokes in the second round, finishing with a 74.
- Harvey Fitzpatrick was tied for 38th, shooting 155. His tournament started with a 78 before carding a 77 in the second round.
- Gustav Damgaard was tied for 54th after shooting an 81 in the first round and a 79 in round two, giving him a total of 160.
- Also finishing in a tie for 54th was Daniel Everhart, who shot an 82 in round one and a 78 in the second round.
INDIVIDUALS
- Noah Jones finished tied for 24th, with a total of 149. He started the tournament with a 72 before carding a 77 in the second round.
- Joseph Snyder finished in 58th, shooting a total of 163. After starting the tournament with an 80, he shot an 83 in round two.
- Blake Liles finished in 62nd, with a total of 163. He started the tournament with an 88 before improving by two strokes for round two, carding an 86 on Tuesday.
- George Green rounded out the King contingent, carding a 176, putting him in 63rd place. He shot an 83 in round two, improving on his first round by 10 strokes.
FOR THE FOES
- Tusculum took second, shooting a two-day total of 572. Alberto Dominguez of Erskine finished in a tie for second, winning the tiebreaker over King's Peyton Perez.
UP NEXT
- The Tornado have two events left during the fall portion of their schedule, and will be back on the course on Oct. 11 when they are at the Queens University Fall Invitational.
