Chloe Wade brought home a 35th-place finish Friday evening to lead the Tornado at the Queen City Invite. This was the second race of the season for the Tornado, who finished 15th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wade, running her first collegiate race, finished in 35th place, with a time of 18:37.36.Â
- Ashley Doyle ran a personal best 19:19.39 to finish in 68th place.
- Meg Davis crossed the line in 20:28.79, bringing home a 109th place finish.
- Destiny Haller ran her best time of the season, finishing in 20:41.02.
- Grayson Howe and Katy Neubert rounded out the King lineup, with Howe finishing in 20:51.42 and Neubert crossing the line in 20:57.00.
FOR THE FOES
- Milligan took first place in the team race, while Anderson, Queens and Lenoir-Rhyne brought home top-five finishes.
- Paula Alains of Queens was the first to cross the finish line, just one second ahead of second place Lemi Wutz of Milligan.Â
UP NEXT
- The Tornado are now off until Oct. 8, when they return to Charlotte for the Royals Challenge.
