KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Samuel Trueba shot a 54-hole total of 208 to lead the King University men's golf team at their season-opening tournament at Osprey Point Golf Course. The Tornado finished 11th as a team, shooting even-par 864 over the three-round event. Trueba finished tied for seventh in the individual competition in his first event as a Tornado.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trueba started the tournament with a 68 in the first round and a 67 in the second round before shooting a 73 in the final round. His total of 208 is the second-lowest 54-hole score in Tornado history.
- Aasmund Norum finished tied for 48th place, shooting matching 71s in the first two rounds and shooting 77 in the third round to finish at 219
- Alex Bradford finished day one at even par 144 after shooting 71 and 73 in the first two rounds. He shot 68 in the final round to finish the tournament at four-under 212, which is now tied for third-lowest tournament score in King history.
- Jeffery Perez shot a 70-81 in the first two rounds before carding a 79 in the last round to finish at 230, placing him in 69th place.
- Beam Ratanaprasartporn carded a 77 in the first round and a 76 in round two before posting a 79 in the final round, finishing with an overall score of 232.
FOR THE FOES
- Austin Fulton of West Georgia won the individual medalist honors, shooting a 15-under 201, including a tournament low of 64 in the second round.
- Erskine College won the team race, carding an 831, winning by three strokes over the University of West Georgia and USC Aiken.
