DUE WEST, S.C. – The King University men's soccer team saw their season come to an end on Sunday following a defeat at conference-leading Erskine College. The Flying Fleet used a goal in each half to knock off the Tornado by a final score of 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Erskine capitalized on their first chance of the match. Dennis Cole slotted home a feed from Carlos Portas to give the hosts the advantage less than a minute into the match.
- The Flying Fleet then registered the next three shots of the match to keep the pressure on King.
- Charles Johnson fired King's first shot of the match, missing wide right.
- The Tornado failed to record another shot in the first half as Erskine controlled the possession for the remaining thirty minutes of the half.
- Erskine opened the second half with the first three shots of the period.
- Zubair Taylor placed a shot on target in the 53rd minute, forcing a save out of Evan Zizek.
- The lead was doubled in the 56th minute after Dennis Cole found the back of the net for the second time.
- On the ensuing kickoff, Callum Davidson fired a shot on target in an effort to get the Tornado back into the game.
- It was the last time Zizek was tested as the Flying Fleet saw out the remainder of the game.
- A pair of saves from Dalton Gammon in less than 90 seconds helped keep the deficit at two, preserving the 2-0 score line.
