BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's soccer team picked up their second victory of the season on Friday, doing so in style. The Tornado found the back of the net 12 times as they cruised to a double-digit victory over Southern Wesleyan University. Paced by
Carlos Sampedro, who tallied his first career hat trick, King defeated the visiting Warriors by a final score of 12-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King got on the board just eight and a half minutes into the opening period. Ruben Laureano opened the scoring as he slotted home his second goal of the season.
- Just over ten minutes later, Ben Delisle scored the game-winner and doubled King's advantage with a left-footed shot into the far corner.
- The trio of Drew Ramsey, Callum Davidson and Sampedro combined for three goals in seven minutes to give the Tornado a 5-0 advantage heading into the halftime break.
- Each of those three that found the back of the net in the closing stages of the first half registered the first collegiate goal of their respective careers.
- Southern Wesleyan got on the board in the early stages of the second half as Jon-Luke Rodriguez found the back of the net to spoil the Tornado clean sheet.
- As Laureano did in the first half, he opened the scoring for King in the second half with his second goal of the day.
- Sampredo added two consecutive goals off feeds from Delisle and Charles Johnson to cap off his first career hat trick.
- Diogo Ruivo picked up King's ninth goal of the day after a nailing a half-volley from the top of the box.
- Lucas Lavender got in on the action as neatly slotted home a pass from Davidson.
- Delisle found the back of the net in the 89th minute to accompany his earlier goal.
- Following his screamer in the first half, Davidson hammered home his second goal of the day with less than a minute remaining to cap the Tornado score at 12.
- Collin Parsons saved a last-second penalty kick from the Warriors to finish the day with seven saves.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- King tallied 31 shots, placing 21of those shots on goal.
- Sampedro and Delisle each finished the day with six points as Sampedro tallied three goals and Delisle registered a pair of goals and pair of assists.
- Seven different members of the Tornado roster registered a goal on the day.
- Parsons made seven saves in route to the victory.
FOR THE FOES
- Southern Wesleyan took 21 shots, placing eight of those on target.
- The Warriors only registered one corner kick on the day.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- King saw five different players score for the first time on Friday. Laureano, Ramsey, Davidson, Sampedro and Ruivo all found the back of the net for their first collegiate goal.
