Box Score TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The King University men's basketball team traveled to North Greenville University tonight and fell short by a final score of 84-77. The Tornado made a strong push at the end but it was not enough as the Crusaders proved to be too much.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
- An MJ Foust layup was the first basket of the game which gave King their only lead of the first half.
- The two teams traded baskets in the opening moments of the game before a 9-0 run by the Crusaders gave them a 14-4 lead with 16:23 remaining in the half.
- With 7:38 remaining in the first period of play, JaMarquis Johnson nailed a triple to trim King's deficit to five points.
- NGU responded with a 14-2 run to land their largest lead of the half. The Crusaders were up 42-25 with 3:44 left to play in the half.
- The Tornado scored the final five points of the half via an Isaiah Curry layup and triple from Johnson to head into the locker room down 42-30 at the intermission.
Second Half
- Damion Ottman opened the scoring in the second with a make from beyond the arc.
- Darron Howard added a triple of his own just 64 seconds later to trim the Crusader lead to 11 points.
- The deficit was trimmed to single digits when Ottman nailed a fade-away jumper to make it 61-52 with 10:05 remaining in the contest.
- After King cut the Crusader advantage to eight points, NGU reeled off ten straight points to go up 77-59.
- King made one last push down the stretch and cut the score to 82-77 with a minute to go following an 18-5 run the Tornado.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Ottman led the Tornado in scoring with 12 points to go along with three rebounds and an assist.
- Curry flirted with a double-double as he tallied 11 points and nine rebounds.
- Blake Atwood notched double digits in the scoring column as he added 10 points to accompany his three rebounds and one assist.
FOR THE FOES
- Jalon Cokley posted a game-high 23 points as well as four rebounds and an assist.
- The duo of David Muncy and Jacob Redding combined for 32 points, scoring 17 and 15 respectively.

- King travels to take on Chowan University on Friday and Saturday. Tipoff from Murfreesboro, N.C. is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
