Box Score FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – Playing their third straight game on the road, the King University men's basketball team had their eight-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night at Emmanuel College. The Lions shot 54 percent in their 101-87 victory over the Conference Carolinas-leading Tornado.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
- Both teams got off to hot starts as King used a 12-6 run to take a 20-17 lead following a Jordan Floyd layup eight minutes into the contest.
- The Tornado later went on a 9-2 run as a Damion Ottman trifecta gave King a 31-23 lead.
- That was the largest lead for the Tornado in the opening 20 minutes as the Lions started to work their way back.
- Emmanuel used a 13-5 run to even the score at 41 with two minutes remaining until halftime.
- The Lions then scored nine of the final 12 points, including a buzzer-beater to take a 50-44 lead at the half.
Second Half
- Emmanuel started hot in the second half, opening up a 60-49 lead in the first two minutes.
- Three points from Floyd and layups from Justin Frazier and Brandon Lamberth pulled King within 68-62 with 12 minutes remaining.
- Floyd and the Tornado tried to stay close, but the Lions had an answer every time King tried to make a run.
- The Lions shot 60.0 percent from the floor and 46.2 percent from three-point range in the second half.
- Emmanuel held their lead in double digits for the remainder of the contest, taking the 101-87 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Floyd led King with 29 points, going 12-for-13 from the free throw line.
- Ottman and Frazier followed with 13 points each. Ottman also grabbed eight rebounds.
- Salomon chipped in with 11 points.
FOR THE FOES
- KJ Jones II led Emmanuel with 32 points off the bench. He went 9-for-12 from the floor and 11-for-14 from the free throw line.
- Tyonn Stuckey followed with 21 points and five assists.
- Brandon Simpson and Michael Wright chipped in with 13 points each.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- With his first basket of the game, Salomon became the 34th player in program history to score 1,000 points in his career.
- The loss ends King's eight-game winning streak.

- King returns home for senior day on Saturday. The Tornado will take on Chowan University at 4:00 p.m. in the Student Center Complex.
