Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's basketball team opened a homestand with a Conference Carolinas game against North Greenville University. The Crusaders gained the lead early, and controlled the majority of the contest, taking the 74-67 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
- North Greenville broke a tie with five straight points, opening up an 8-3 lead in the opening four minutes.
- The Tornado deficit grew to 20-11 midway through the opening period as the Tornado struggled from the floor.
- King tried to get a run going, but each time the Tornado scored, the Crusaders were quick to answer and extend their lead.
- Justin Frazier pulled King within 34-30 at the half when he made a three-point basket with 21 seconds remaining.
Second Half
- The Crusaders stretched the lead to seven in the early part of the second half, but the Tornado went on a run in the middle of the stanza.
- A Mike Salomon three-point basket pulled King within 57-56 before a Frazier bucket evened the score at 58.
- Frazier completed the three-point play, giving King a 59-58 lead with eight minutes remaining.
- However, North Greenville answered with seven straight points to regain the lead.
- In all, the Crusaders went on a 13-2 run, putting the game out of reach at 72-61 with one minute remaining as North Greenville took the contest 74-67.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Frazier led King with 25 points and added six assists.
- James Brown followed with 17 points.
FOR THE FOES
- Daniko Jackson led four North Greenville scorers in double figures with 23 points. He added nine assists and seven rebounds.
- Caleb Arrington scored 16 points while Kovi Tate chipped in with 12 points.
- Roderick Howell scored 11 points and added 10 rebounds.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Frazier's 25 points marks a career-high.
