BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's golf team entered the final round of the King University Invitational with the lead, but Carson-Newman University overtook the Tornado in the final round. King finished second with a tournament total of 611 after shooting 306 in the second round and were led by Fiona Hebbel who finished third.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hebbel shot even par 71 on day one, and followed that with a round of 78 to finish the tournament with a score of 149, giving her a third place finish.
- Samantha Taylor rebounded from a rough day one to shoot 73 in the second round, giving her an eighth place finish with a tournament total of 153.
- Also finishing in the top 10 was Emilie Olstad who followed her first round of 77 with a round of 78. She finished in ninth place with a tournament total of 155.
- Nicola Robertson nearly missed the top 10 finishing 12 with a tournament score of 157. She improved on her 80 in round one with a 77 in the final round.
- Daphne Chang rounded out the squad with a score of 160, finishing 14th. She followed a 77 in the first round with an 83 in the second round.
- Playing as an individual, Autumn Bergendahl shot 102 in the second round, following her first round of 92, finising at 194.
FOR THE FOES
- Carson-Newman took home the team title, shooting 296 in the second round to finish with a tournament total of 608.
- The Tornado were not far behind at 611, taking second.
- Individually, Elizabeth England of Carson-Newman took home individual medalist honors, shooting 143 while her teammate Reagn Kinnie shot 147 to take second.
- Hebbel was not far behind for the Tornado, taking third at 149.
