Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University baseball team faced another tough challenge on Wednesday afternoon when they hosted Mars Hill University. The Lions held off a King rally and used a pair of big innings to take the contest 11-5.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Sattz led the Tornado, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI as he ripped his third home run of the season.
- Cook also scored twice and Ganger drove in a pair.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mars Hill got on the board in the third inning when Rogers ripped a double that scored Honeycutt who tripled earlier in the inning.
- The Lions looked to break the game open in the fourth inning, scoring six runs on seven hits. Carroll drove in two with a double and Rogers capped the scoring with a two-run home run, giving Mars Hill a 7-0 lead.
- Cook led off the fifth inning with a double and later scored on a Ganger double to get King on the board.
- King pulled within 7-4 when they plated three unearned runs in the seventh inning. Castaneda drove in one, Ganger another with a sacrifice fly and Austin Dayton played one with a groundout.
- Satts made the score 7-5 when he ripped his third home run of the season, taking a 2-0 pitch over the left field fence in the eighth inning.
- However, the Lions added four insurance runs in the ninth inning, three on a Logan Conley home run to take the contest 11-5.
FOR THE FOES
- Rogers and Conley both recorded two hits and drove in three runs. Conley also scored twice.
- Carroll drove in a pair while Honeycutt recorded two hits and scored twice.
- Eisenbath led the Lions with three hits, going 3-for-4.
