Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following a win on Friday night, the King University women's basketball team stayed hot with another home victory on Saturday afternoon. The Tornado pulled away from Southern Wesleyan University over the middle two quarters, taking the 82-40 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Arnelle Collins gave the Tornado the lead when she broke a 7-7 tie with a triple midway through the opening quarter.
- King scored five straight points, capped by a Madison Davis jump shot to take a 15-9 lead before the Warriors nailed a triple to close the frame.
- The Tornado used a 9-0 run, started by a Stephanie Brantley triple to extend the lead. Amy Van Deventer, Kristen Cupples and Sheena Johnson all tallied points in the pain on the run that put King ahead 28-15.
- Demisha Porter connected from long range and Collins gave King a 36-18 halftime lead with a pair of free throws in the final minute.
- King put the game away with a 13-0 run in the third quarter. Cupples ignited the run with a trifecta before Van Deventer completed an old fashioned three-point play.
- Johnson capped the spurt with a three-point basket and a pair of free throws.
- Following a Warrior bucket, King rolled off 12 straight points, started by a Brantley triple. Van Deventer tallied six points on the spurt that put the Tornado up 63-27.
- Collins gave King a 70-30 lead after three with a layup in the final seconds.
- Allison Littleton gave King their largest lead of the game at 45 with a layup in the final minutes as King took the contest 82-40.
- Van Deventer led King with 19 points to go along with eight rebounds.
- Collins added 11 points and four rebounds while Johnson chipped in with 10 points.
FOR THE FOES
- Tomi Sanchez led the Warriors with 11 points to go along with six rebounds.
- Noelle van Zadelhoff snared a game-high 15 rebounds.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Davis set a career-high in the first half when she grabbed seven rebounds. She added two more in the second half for a total of nine.
- Littleton set a career-best with seven points.
