Box Score AIKEN, S.C. – The King University women's volleyball team had a chance split the weekend at the USC Aiken Invitational, but Nova Southeastern University had other ideas. The Tornado jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead only to see the Sharks comeback to win the next two sets and the third set 15-11 to take the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set was with seven ties, the final coming at 23-23 following a 7-2 Shark run. However, the Tornado scored the final two points on kills form Sarah Collins and Ashleigh Manke to take the set 25-23.
- Nova Southeastern jumped out to an early lead in the second set, but King came back with a 7-0 run to even the score at 12-12. The Tornado kept the momentum going en route to the 25-18 victory to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- The Sharks used a 7-0 run early in the third set to break a tie and take a 13-6 lead as they kept the match alive with the 25-21 victory.
- King held a 17-13 lead in the fourth set before the Sharks went on a 4-0 run to even the tally. With the score even at 18-18, Nova Southeastern scored three straight points to take the lead as they took the frame 25-20.
- The final set was even at 11 before the Sharks scored four straight points to take the set 15-11 and the match 3-2.
- Manke led the Tornado offense with 17 kills and was followed by Lauren Willoughby and Grace Underwood who at 16 kills apiece.
- Olivia Underwood handed out 53 assists.
- On the defensive side, Amy Serowski posted 17 digs while Casey Williams and Willoughby added 15 apiece.
FOR THE FOES
- Dana Holger led the offensive attack with 17 kills to go along with 16 digs for the double-double.
- Denvyr Tyler-Palmer accounted for 15 kills.
- Sydney Cook posted a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs, and Caitlin Donahue recorded 10 kills and hit .526 in the match.
- Kaelyn Beck registered a match-high 20 digs to lead five Sharks in double figures.
- Katie Pyles handed out 50 assists and added 11 digs for a double-double.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Manke and Grace Underwood both set career-highs for the Tornado. Manke posted 17 kills while Underwood registered 16 kills and hit .355.
- Willoughby posted her second double-double of the season, going for 16 kills and 15 digs.
- Olivia Underwood hit the 50-assist plateau for the first time this season.
