MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University men's tennis team continued Conference Carolinas play on the road on Friday at the University of Mount Olive. The Trojans started the match with three wins at doubles before taking all six singles matches for the 9-0 victory.
At No. 1 doubles, Luis Delgado and Moritz Poswiat dropped an 8-6 decision to Edgar Bub and Paul Wiederspahn. The King (3-7, 2-2 CC) duo of Lennard Keswani and Makar Grytsevych then fell 8-4 at No. 2 doubles to Matt Finnerty and Henric Falkenberg.
Mount Olive (3-3, 1-0 CC) then put the match away in singles play. Kewani dropped a tight 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-3) decision at No. 1 singles to Finnerty. Poswiat played a close match at No. 3 singles, falling 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 to Wiederspahn.
King will be in action again on Saturday when they take on Barton College in Wilson, N.C. at 12:00 p.m.
