Box Score MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University women's volleyball team rebounded nicely on Saturday in a Conference Carolinas tilt at the University of Mount Olive. The Tornado offense came to play early as the Tornado took an early lead and didn't look back, taking the match 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King scored the first seven points on their way to hitting .370 in the first set. King took the first set 25-12 behind their powerful offense that only made three errors in the frame.
- The second set was close until the Tornado used a 4-0 run to take a 20-13 lead late in the frame, taking the set 25-18.
- With the third set even at 7-7, King scored three straight points on a pair of aces from Ashton Beckner and kill from Ashleigh Manke to gain a little separation. The Tornado held the lead until Beckner ended the 25-19 victory with a kill to give King the sweep.
- Lauren Willoughby nearly posted a double-double, going for 10 kills and nine digs.
- Manke also accounted for 10 kills to go along with three service aces and four digs.
- Sarah Collins followed that duo with eight kills, hitting .438 in the match.
- Amy Serowski led the defense with 17 digs.
- Olivia Underwood handed out 35 assists and added four digs.
- At the service line, Casey Williams led King with five aces to go along with five digs.
FOR THE FOES
- Danielle Piante led Mount Olive with six kills.
- Danielle Stachura dished out 11 assists and added five digs.
- Samantha Winfield accounted for a team-best eight digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The .316 attack percentage in the match marked King's second best output this year, and their second time posting an attack percentage over .300.
- The five service aces for Williams marked a career-best. Her previous high was four which she accomplished twice at the beginning of the 2013 season.
UP NEXT
- King will be in action again on Tuesday when they face the University of Charleston (W.Va.) in the Student Center Complex. Tuesday is also King's annual Dig Pink match where King will be giving away koozies and taking donations that will go towards breast cancer.
- Mount Olive returns to the court on Friday when they host Pfeiffer University.
