Box Score GREER, S.C. - The King College baseball team posted an 8-1 win Friday over Bluefield State (W.Va.) College in a contest played in Greer, S.C.
Freshman Cory Rhodes (Kissimmee, Fla.) went eight innings and allowed the one run to improve to 4-0 on the season. He allowed six hit and struck out one.
Steven Mueller (Mt. Washington, Ky.) hit his first home run of the season, a two-run shot. He also scored two twice.
Garrett Cook (Luray, Va.) added a solo home run. Bryant Walker (Knoxville, Tenn.) had two hits, a RBI and a stolen base.
Tyler Arnett (Bristol, Va.) finished the game in the final inning for King.
King, now at 6-5 on the season, will play Virginia State University at 11 a.m. with a 2 p.m. contest against Paine (Ga.) College on Saturday to wrap up the event.
