BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College recently announced that Zach Sorensen will play his collegiate volleyball with the Tornado under the direction of head coach Ryan Booher.
Sorensen, a Flemington, N.J. resident, graduated from Hunterdon Central High. The 6-foot-4 middle blocker and outside hitter also played for the Warren SixPak VBC. He was a first-team all-conference selection and owns Hunterdon Central's record for most solo blocks in a season. Sorensen was named to the Central-West Jersey second team for two years. He has also competed in two USA Volleyball Boys' Junior Nationals.
"I am very excited to have Zach join the King College program," Booher said. "I know that he will have an immediate impact on our volleyball team."
King, behind a school record 11-match winning streak, finished 2010 at 13-7 which included a 4-4 Conference Carolinas record.
