BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College has announced that Tiffany Taylor has been named cheerleading coach by King athletic director Susie Toomey.
Taylor, a 2009 King graduate, was a volunteer coach from March 2009 until she took the head position. In 2005 she started working at Tennessee Power Tumbling in Piney Flats and coached national and Junior Olympic champions. Taylor also provided private lessons to area middle and high school cheerleading squads. She help create routines for various cheerleading squads for competitions. From 2002 to 2008 Taylor worked as a gymnastics and tumbling coach at Kingsport Gymnastics.
"I know Tiffany will do an outstanding job here at King," Toomey said about the hire. "She brings a high level of experience, with a high level of energy and a great work ethic."
She takes over a squad that was fourth-runner up at the 2010 Cheer Ltd. CANAM National Championship in the Small Coed Collegiate division.
