GREENVILLE, S.C. - King College placed the 2010 women's tennis team on the NCCAA Scholar-Team list, the national organization announced.

King was one of 10 tennis programs in the NCCAA to make the list which was the most from any one NCCAA sport this academic year. In order to earn the award a team had to post a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 during the academic year for the entire squad.

The Lady Tornado, under the direction of Chris Bartlett, posted an 8-8 record as the squad competed at the 2010 NCCAA Women's Tennis National Tournament in May. Of the seven teams at the national event, five were also on the scholar-team list.

King's Crystal Harwell (Nashville, Tenn.) was a member of the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete team which was announced earlier in May.
