BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College head men's volleyball coach Ryan Booher recently announced the addition of Jeremy Funk and Justin Crane to the Tornado roster for the 2011 season.

Funk comes to King from Penn Manor High School and Washingtonboro, Pa. He also played for Nochose VBC. The 6-foot outside hitter and defensive specialist won the PIAA Sackler Hower Sportsmanship award and a Penn Manor Volleyball Scholarship honor.

"He is a solid all-around player," Booher said. "Jeremy brings a great attitude as well as a great character that will be an asset to our program."

Crane attended Atlee High School in Mechanicsville, Va. He was a first-team all-district selection for 2009-10 as well as a second-team all-region player. Crane, a 6-foot setter and defensive specialist, was selected as the MVP at Atlee and broke the school record with 1,350 assists as he was placed on the all-metro second team this past season.

"Justin is a hard worker with a true love for the game of volleyball," Booher commented.

King recently removed the interim tag from Booher as he was named the head coach on May 18. Booher coached the Tornado for the final 13 matches of the 2010 season as interim and helped King to a 13-7 record behind an 11-match winning streak.
