Shelia joined the Tornado staff in the summer of 2002 as the head athletic trainer and she continues to serve in that role was well as many others. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, she currently holds the title of head athletic trainer, senior women administrator (SWA) and assistant athletic director.
While at King, she has served on numerous committees at King and in Conference Carolinas. At King, she was the Chair of the Gender Equity Committee, is a member of the Wellness Strategic Planning Committee, and she was the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Advisor in 2010-11. At the conference level, she was the Chair of the Conference Carolinas SWA Committee from 2013-14, Conference Carolinas Executive Committee from 2013-14, and is currently a member of the Conference Carolinas Enhancement Committee. She is also on the Athletic Compliance Committee as well as the Athletic Leadership Committee and is the athletic director liaison for the women’s volleyball committee.
Prior to the 2016-17 season, Shelia became a member of the Regional Athletic Committee (RAC) for women’s volleyball. In 2013, she was selected to be a facilitator at the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum.
Shelia earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee in 1997. In 2005, she earned her Master of Business Administration from then King College.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking and outdoor activities with her dog Rocky.
