Chloe McCoy enters her first year as Assistant Athletic Trainer at King. She is responsible for the treatment of King Cheer, Women’s Basketball, and Softball.
Since May 2005 she worked with Varsity Brands Inc., the world’s largest cheerleading and dance company where she traveled the country and served as a trainer at a variety of camps and competitive competition. McCoy provided medical care for all age groups ranging from youth all the way through collegiate athletes while treating those at national high school and college-level competitions.
During the 2010-2011 school year she worked at Furman University (NCAA Division I) as an Athletic Training Fellow, covering the needs of Paladin Women’s Volleyball and Softball.
McCoy became a Board Certified Athletic Trainer in July 2008 and has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association since 2008. From Nov. 2010 through Jan. 2011, she spent time with Doctors at Piedmont Orthopedics in Greenville, S.C. observing a variety of surgeries from ACL reconstruction to hip replacements.
She is a dual graduate of East Carolina University (Greenville, N.C.) where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2006 and followed with a Master of Arts in Education in 2009. McCoy is a native of Durham, N.C. and currently resides in Kingsport, Tenn.
